Rossall School were looking at a new way to engage with their whole school and their alumni and have found the introduction of the ‘Rossallian’ incorporating ‘Old Rossallian’ to be a huge success and a truly great way to reach out to all school families past, present and enquiring. The newspaper full of amazing stories and articles and again both hard copy and digital copy have been read with much enthusiasm. The digital copy has been viewed over 6000 times in its first 3 months and has an amazing 6 minutes reading time.

We chose to have two halves to our newspaper; The Rossallian and The Old Rossallian. The first half consisted of student-created content such as poems, art, reviews or articles, whilst the second half focused on our Alumni and included case studies, quotes, alumni event pictures and articles from our archives. We have had really positive feedback on our newspaper from students, staff and alumni. Having both a paper copy and a digital copy is a fantastic way to engage with all of our Rossall community. We can keep our current pupils and parents up to date by providing paper copies to take home but also have the ability to engage with alumni across the world with our digital version. I would recommend TimesEd Ltd to other schools.
